Among A Crowd
By Bernard Howard

A fawn cries in childhood unable to walk.
Through a fast paced world with a heavy stalk.
She grows independent with much to dream.
A means that provides her silver line to seam.
If so there's the deer who's ways are fair.
Camouflaged in his herd while water they share.
His thirst is soon quenched but not his devise.
For the moment he will wait to seize his prize.
There patience will conclude into a juncture.
As the herd changes they will never puncture.

The Struggle
By Bernard Howard

My past is faded, bricks I cannot tread.
My future is a darkness in which I'm lead.
I pave my own road and it's not with ease.
As I'm brought up to stand from my hands and knees.
I strive through the shadows of realities depth.
For my soul shines bright from what my mind has kept.
Regrets are just lessons as I focus on goals.
The highs and lows of life will hold there tolls.
Discretion is a setback that I will fold.
To accomplish my dreams I choose to hold.

A day of wonder
By Bernard Howard

The blind block evil by lack of sight.
Yet plea for eyes that see no light.
The deaf can't hear and think they're cursed.
As I suffer with ears gripping the worst.
Many words that I write and never walk.
Healthy legs that are envied when cripples talk.
For one day could we make a switch?
To feel the pain of a different pitch?
What if we did and never could change?
Would being swapped to our wants be strange?
Me being blind to all the tempting flesh.
Gaping my senses to a guard of mesh.
Me being deaf with no words to say.
Writing poetry for fans while devoters I fray.
Being a cripple I would keep my trust.
Let hateful words out my mouth turn rust.
Six hands I wish to cover my head.
My ears, eyes, lips, and sealing what's fed.
To change back we would always be cool.
From what we learned and came to dual.

Rendition of a Man
By Bernard Howard

A man is attractive in all detail.
From his toes to his eyes there is no place frail.
His stature is of power as hands that frame.
With aspects of love in his heart the same.
He is utmost aggressive in important affairs.
This is clear from moments he looks and stares.
The purpose in his life does have a theme.
Succeeding in his plans will sew the seam.
His steps are unyielding to be complete.
As a time and place where two will meet.
A protector of anything his heart can place.
Like dogs to masters none to waste.
Responsible for much and corrects misdeeds.
The most wanted father for a matron's seeds.
A man with knowledge that women respect.
Who has fear and love in his effect.
He is faithful in actions and also words.
If released he'll will return unlike the birds.
His traits in emotions are sometimes hid.
Though not immature he can be a kid.

Untitled
By Bernard Howard

You're the woman that stole my heart I still can tell.
I act like I'm mute and my lips won't compel.
So what are you going to do, when I come right?
What will you say when I say you're tight?
Were will we go if are hearts get lost?
Is it worth the risk? Is it worth the cost?
Your beauty is celestial and your love's the same.
I'm happy for the fact that in my life you came.
I'm caught in daydreams thoughts of you remain.
I'm in the shower dripping love, so let it rain.
Hot and steamy scenes in your mind conceive.
That when were together we cannot breathe.
Our bodies stuck together slowly are chafing.
Concupiscence in power forever we're crafting.
A world of our own we breathe in love.
This zone of our own that came from above.
Every secret that I wondered is now fulfilled.
Now I hope that we cohabit and our love is sealed.
My lips will soothe pain if it tears your eye.
Protecting you from all the world might try.
